Our Vision

As Christ-followers we belong to God’s Kingdom—the Kingdom of Heaven. As a church we are all about Releasing the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. What that really means is we want to be doing what Christ did when He was here on earth, the things He has asked us to do: love, serve, and bring freedom and healing to people, in Jesus’ name. There are four key ways we put our vision into practice...

Encounter God's Presence

We want every person to encounter God’s presence personally. This happens through worship, community, prayer, Scriptural teaching, and simply responding to Jesus.

Experience Community

We want every person to experience authentic community and to truly connect with and care for one another. This happens by attending one (or more) of our Communities that appeal to various ages, interests, and life-stages.

Embrace Kingdom Life

We want every person to embrace their Kingdom life. This happens by discovering—through sermons, Bible studies, seminars, and conferences—one’s true identity, destiny, and authority through the Holy Spirit and the Word.

Change the World

We want our city and our world to know God’s Kingdom is also for them; we want to change the world! This happens by being His hands and feet and sharing His message using our Spirit-given gifts and abilities.

Our Culture

At Kingdom City, we’re committed to creating a culture of releasing the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. This Kingdom culture is what we, as the people of God, are living into and believing Him for. We are all about creating a…

CULTURE OF The PRESENCE

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.” (Psalm 27:4)

▪We passionately pursue the “One Thing”; dwelling in the presence of God.

▪We host the manifest Presence of the Lord in all of our gatherings and events, and call people to full engagement with the living God.

▪God has called us to be a house that reveals his presence and glory on the earth.

▪We are Presence carriers of Jesus to the world.

Exodus 33:14-18; Habakkuk 2:14; Ephesians 2:22; Exodus 40:34; Isaiah 2:2,3; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 2 Corinthians 5:2

CULTURE OF CREATIVITY + EXCELLENCE

Awake, Awake! Put on your beautiful garments... (Isaiah 52:1)

▪God is a creative Being, and makes everything with excellence. Since we are made in His image, we also are creative and can express this.

▪Beauty is already upon us. God wants his people to be “adorned” with beauty and brilliance.

▪As a Spirit-filled community, we need to release the creative moving’s of the Holy Spirit in all areas including: media, technology, arts, buildings, music, communication, property management, teaching, and ministry environments.

▪The Church should be a forerunner in the area of creativity and innovation.

▪Excellence honors God and inspires people. When people see excellence, it invites them to draw near.

▪We want to see innovation and solutions for Kingdom advance in this world.

▪We shape and set culture by what we do, how we look, and what we bring, not just by what we say or how we pray.

▪We make our environments attractive for artists, artisans, entrepreneurs, innovators. and creatives to release their gifts.

CULTURE OF EXPECTANCY

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” (Ephesians 3:20a NIV)

▪We believe that nothing is impossible with God, and so we live with faith-filled expectancy for His Kingdom to advance through us.

▪We believe that God is moving right now, and we can step into this.

▪We live by faith, not by sight, not relying on our own human strength.

▪We believe that God is good and wants to bless His people.

▪We envision and dream into a future that’s full of God’s favour.

▪We make bold faith-decrees based on God’s Word and His promises.

▪We seek to be filled with courage as we step out in faith.

CULTURE OF GENEROSITY

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion.” (2 Corinthians 9:11 NIV)

▪God is our Provider, and we lack nothing. Because of that we can release generosity easily. Windows of heaven are opened to those who honour the Lord with His resources.

▪Freely we have received from the Lord, and so we freely give.

▪We reject a poverty mindset, and believe it is in God’s heart to bless his people so that they can be a blessing on the earth. We believe in prosperity with a purpose.

▪Financial giving and seed-sowing is part of our lifestyle and worship. This involves tithing and giving through gifts and offerings.

▪We are generous with our time, gifts, resources, and lives.

▪We trust God so that we can fund Kingdom solutions in the world.

CULTURE OF REVIVAL

“‘I will put breath in you, and you will come to life.’” (Ezekiel 37:6 NIV)

▪Revival is God’s arrival.

▪We believe the Spirit is being poured out in this moment, and that true revival is possible and available.

▪Revival is for individuals, families, churches, regions, and nations.

▪We believe in ever-increasing personal renewal, which leads to corporate revival that results in a reformation of our surrounding world.

▪We believe signs and wonders, healing, and demonstrations of the power of the Gospel are to be normal.

What We Believe

Our beliefs are firmly rooted in Scripture, and they guide our teaching and living. As part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada, this is our Statement of Faith:

  • There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

    Isaiah 44:6; Isaiah 45:5-6; Matthew 5:48; Deuteronomy 32:4; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19

  • Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace.

    Philipians 2:6-11; Hebrews 2:14-18; Colossians 2:95. Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:35; 1 Corinthians 15:3-5; 1 John 2:2; Act 13:39; Hebrews 4:14-15; Hebrews 9:24-28; Matthew 25:31-34; Acts 1:11

  • The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, sent to indwell, guide, teach and empower the believer, and to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment.

    John 14:16-17; John 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 2:10-12

  • The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of people. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.

    2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21

  • Humankind, originally created in the image and likeness ofGod, fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All people are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The destiny of the impenitent and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment, but that of the believer is everlasting joy and bliss.

    Genesis 1:27; Romans 8:8; 1 John 2:2; Matthew 25:41-46; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

  • Salvation has been provided only through Jesus Christ. Those who repent and believe in Him are united with Christ through the Holy Spirit and are thereby regenerated (born again), justified, sanctified and granted the gift of eternal life as adopted children of God.

    Titus 3:5-7; Acts 2:38; John 1:12; 1 Corinthians 6:11

  • It is the will of God that in union with Christ each believer should be sanctified thoroughly thereby being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to God, receiving power for holy living and sacrificial and effective service toward the completion of Christ’s commission. This is accomplished through being filled with the Holy Spirit which is both a distinct event and progressive experience in the life of the believer.

    1 Thessalonians 5:23; Acts 1:8; Romans 12:1-2; Galatians 5:16-25

  • Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil as taught in the Scriptures are privileges for the Church in this present age.

    Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:13-16

  • The universal Church, of which Christ is the Head, consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and commissioned by Christ to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations.

The local church, the visible expression of the universal Church, is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together to worship God, to observe the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, to pray, to be edified through the Word of God, to fellowship, and to testify in word and deed to the good news of salvation both locally and globally. The local church enters into relationships with other like-minded churches for accountability, encouragement and mission.

    Ephesians 3:6-12; Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:41-47; Hebrews 10:25; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Acts 11:19-30; Acts 15

  • There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment.

    1 Corinthians 15:20-23; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

  • The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal and visible. As the believer’s blessed hope, this vital truth is an incentive for holy living and sacrificial service toward the completion of Christ’s commission.

    1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; 1 Corinthians 1:7; Titus 2:11-14; Matthew 24:14; Matthew 28:18-20
