Staff Team

Leadership starts with Jesus. It’s His church! Under God’s leadership, we are simply followers who encourage others to follow Him, too.

Brenda

Brenda joined our staff team in 2025 and serves as the Bookkeeper at Kingdom City and genuinely finds joy in making numbers behave and accounts balance. She loves Jesus, enjoys serving behind the scenes, and is passionate about using her gifts to support the ministry. When she's not reconciling spreadsheets, she's at home with her family and a collection of food-motivated cats who firmly believe every trip to the kitchen is for their benefit.

Doug earned a Doctor of Ministry at Nyack College, New York and is an ordained minister with The Alliance Canada. He has published two books (available on Amazon): The Empowerment Pivot: How God is redefining our view of normal, and Light Up the Dark: restoring healing and deliverance to disciple-making. Doug is married to his high-school sweetheart, Teri, and frequently serves side-by-side with her. They have two married sons and a very fuzzy dog. Doug is an avid wood craftsman who enjoys working with his hands and, as a pastor, developing people into their greater capacity.

Greg

Greg serves as Pastor of Community here at Kingdom City Church. He is passionate about Jesus, being led by the Holy Spirit, and living on mission. With 17 years of marketplace experience in the trades in Airdrie, he answered the call to pastoral ministry. After completing his education through Vanguard College in 2022, Greg remains committed to strengthening the spiritual life of the church and equipping others for service and leadership in their primary places of influence. He is passionate about biblical community, formation in Christ, Spirit-empowerment, and partnering with Jesus in everyday life. Greg lives on an acreage northwest of Airdrie with his wife and three teenage daughters, where they enjoy hobby farming, gardening, good coffee, sourdough bread, smoking meats, and meaningful conversations over a meal.

Hayley

Hayley serves as the Director of KC Kids at Kingdom City. She first began attending the church in 2008, when it was still known as Airdrie Alliance Church, and joined the staff team in 2024. Hayley holds a Bachelor's degree in Theology from Ambrose University and is passionate about helping children develop a meaningful, lifelong relationship with Jesus. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going for walks, spending time with friends, and baking sweet treats in the kitchen.

Joshua

Joshua graduated from Briercrest College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music: Technology Emphasis. Before being the full-time custodian, he spent many summers as a videographer for Ness Lake Bible Camp (Prince George, BC) and RockRidge Canyon (Princeton, BC). He first worked for Airdrie Alliance as a Video Consultant in 2011. In 2012 he began filling in for the Custodian role, which grew to a full-time position by 2015. In 2022 Joshua was officially made the IT Support person as well, since he was already the one helping the rest of the Kingdom City staff with their computers.

Luke

Luke joined the KC Team in 2016 as an Intern and we haven't gotten rid of him since.  He serves as Kingdom City's Youth Director, where he somehow convinced the church to pay him to spend Tuesday nights hanging out with over 100 unhinged teenagers. Equal parts pastor, content creator, and chaos coordinator, Luke is known for doing just about anything in the name of a good youth Instagram post. When he's not investing in the next generation, you'll find him behind a camera capturing the perfect shot, designing something creative, or demonstrating his elite Cricut skills. If it involves creativity, technology, or making something look cooler than it has any right to, Luke is probably involved. Luke and his wife are raising two kids, who are quickly learning that life is never boring when creativity is considered a spiritual gift.

Mark

Mark joined the KC Kids team in 2023. He has completed three years of ministry school and currently working on his Bachelor of Education. Mark is motivated by a deep love for people and a desire to help kids learn to accept God's love, love others, and generously share what they've received. Mark likes hangouts with friends, walks, art, sports, and being out in nature.

Matt

Matt joined the KC staff team as Director of Production in 2022. A creative, adventure-loving guy with a passion to see others come alive in their God-given creativity, Matt Cameron leads our production team with tenacity and grace. With over 20 years of experience in music and sound, he naturally resonates with the musicians in our worship department, and keeps the goal of excellence as the standard, training and coaching our volunteers in broadcast and in-house production. Outside of work, Matt enjoys cooking & baking, photography, listening to music and podcasts, writing, lingering by the campfire with his wife Becca and playing with their two kids. Matt holds wonder as the ultimate value and is good at enjoying the simple beauty that he finds in just about every moment.

Matt

Matt joined the Kingdom City team as Pastor of Worship in 2021.  Originally from the East Coast, he is a passionate learner and a firm believer that the tambourine is a highly underrated instrument (some might even say it's his favourite). Known for using different voices when telling Bible stories, Matt has a knack for making Scripture come alive. Rumour has it he once attempted to explain the doctrine of the Trinity to his kids using LEGO, a pizza, and a garden hose. The kids were confused, but somehow Matt ended up with a sermon.  Research also indicates that between his wife's Children's ministry & their children, he is indirectly responsible for approximately 38% of all Goldfish cracker consumption in Airdrie. When he's not explaining the doctrine of sanctification, leading worship, cooking 1000 hot dogs for Kingdom City's SummerFest (could be happening simultaneously depending on the church calendar), you'll likely find him in his workshop building, fixing, or creating something. Matt and his wife are raising three kids and one dog, who all do their best to keep life entertaining and wonderfully unpredictable.

Michael

Michael has enthusiastically worked in Senior Adult Ministry and Pastoral Care for several years. He joined the Kingdom City Staff team as the Director of Senior Adult Ministry (Kingdom Classics) in 2023. He is passionate about providing encouragement, spiritual and emotional care to others. Michael also runs a small, private Christian school with his wife Lori, who has been his support and life partner for almost 50 years. He loves planning ministry events and, though some may groan, he considers creating games and telling dad jokes his special, ministry gift.

Nikki

Nikki has been involved in KC Kids since 2022 and became the Children and Family Pastor at Kingdom City in 2024. Once a postpartum nurse, Nikki has a passion to see children and families build a strong, resilient foundation on Jesus throughout all stages of life and faith. Nikki has three kids of her own, a big fluffy dog, and a love for walks, adventure, and warm summer evenings.

Rebecca

As Communications Manager, Rebekah has been part of the Kingdom City family since the summer of 2021 and joined the staff team in 2023. An entrepreneur at heart, she’s owned her own business since high school, bringing that same creativity and initiative to telling Kingdom City’s story. Outside the office, you’ll find her on the rugby pitch coaching high school girls or exploring Calgary's cafes for a good matcha.

Rebekah Lawrance-Lopez

Communications Manager

Ryan

Ryan joined the staff team as the part-time Director of City Serve in 2024.  He spends his time convincing church members that serving others is actually a good idea & discovering new ways for Kingdom City to love Airdrie. When he's not organizing community initiatives, food drives, backpack programs, gardens, barbecues, Christmas hampers, or whatever new idea showed up in his brain at 2:00 AM, he can usually be found explaining why the church should "think beyond Sunday," planning another ministry that may or may not involve feeding hundreds of people, or trying to figure out how to renovate a kitchen he doesn't own. Ryan is married, a father of two, works in airline operations, and possesses the unique spiritual gift of turning casual conversations into strategic planning sessions. His greatest hope is seeing ordinary people discover that following Jesus is an adventure meant to be lived beyond the walls of the church.

Shara

Shara first started attending Kingdom City in 2015 and has been on staff, serving as the Director of Operations since 2022. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Eston College (formerly known as F.G.B.I.) in 2002. Fueled by caffeine, meetings that could have been emails, prayer, and an unwavering commitment to making things work, she enjoys helping turn vision into reality behind the scenes. Having grown up on the prairies, she has a deep appreciation for both the land of living skies in Saskatchewan and the beauty of the Rocky Mountains she now calls home. Outside of work, you'll find her playing volleyball, camping/hiking with her family, reading, and enjoying the adventures that come with life alongside her husband, two kids, and a small anxiety-filled dog.
