FAQs
Below is everything you need to know about topics we are commonly asked about. We also have some great resources that have been mentioned in various services or messages over the years. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please contact the church office.
Baptism
What is baptism?
Baptism is one of the most important steps we can take after we decide to follow Jesus. It expresses dying to our old ways of living (when we go under the water) and being raised to new life in Jesus (when we come out of the water). Baptism is a significant moment in your journey with Jesus, showing others that you’ve made a life-change and you are now following Jesus. Learn more→
How do I get baptized at Kingdom City?
Baptisms take place during our Sunday worship services on select dates throughout the year. If you would like take this next step, please sign up below and we will be in contact with you.
Child Dedication
What is child dedication?
God loves kids! He’s deeply affectionate for them, and they hold a very special place in His heart. The Dedication moment is one in which parents bring their child before God and vow to love, raise, and guide them in a way that will honour and glorify Jesus. Learn more→
Communion
What is Communion?
As Christ-followers, we participate in Communion—eat bread which symbolizes Jesus’ body, and drink wine or juice which symbolizes Jesus’ blood—to remember and honour the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. Communion is an opportunity to stay intimately connected with Christ through remembering the significance of His sacrifice on the cross. We regularly (about four times a year) celebrate Communion as part of our Sunday morning worship services. Learn more→
Photo Consent
What do I do if I don't want my photo taken?
We regularly photograph and/or film services and events for promotional and/or marketing materials. Should you not consent to the use of your image for these purposes, please visit the Info Centre in the foyer or fill out the form below to begin the opt-out process.
Registration (Services / Events)
Is registration required to attend?
Effective February 9, 2022, there are no capacity limits for "places of worship" in Alberta, and so there is no need to register for in-person worship services ahead of time. Just come! As we always have done in the past (pre-COVID-19), anyone planning to attend some events or conferences should sign up in advance when applicable. This significantly helps us plan accordingly and provide the best experience for you as possible.
