Anyone craving connection or caffeine is welcome to come to Kingdom City for coffee* and conversation. A lot can be said over a cup of coffee. In a way, coffee is level ground (or should we say grounds?). Its normality in our culture makes it unifying among many, and that’s why sharing a cup of joe on a patio** is the perfect environment for personal interaction! This will be an unstructured hour, so feel free to come and go as you please.
*Please bring your own beverage as coffee will not be provided.
**Chairs will be sanitized in advance and hand sanitizer will be made available. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, however, if the weather is too unkind, we will move into the church foyer.
Disclaimer: As we begin in-person gatherings for some ministry events and activities, please know that we are adopting important health and safety measures as outlined by the Alberta Government . Adults are, of course, self-responsible in deciding what events or activities they are willing to participate in and responsible for determining what events their children and teens my participate in, knowing that others around us may carry COVID-19 virus but not exhibit symptoms. For all church-related activities, we ask all participants (including staff and volunteers) to abide by the following measures until further notice: follow the physical distancing guideline of 2m/6ft for anyone who is not family or in a family cohort (this includes being seated or standing); wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible; use hand sanitizer or wash hands with soap and water immediately upon entering the church building or someone’s home; greet each other with smiles, not physical gestures such as shaking hands or hugging; stay home if you’re feeling ill or running a fever; and let the church know if you or someone in your household tests positive for COVID-19 or has COVID-19 symptoms within two weeks of meeting together.
